Runestone Park opened as a state park on October 25, 1970. Though no longer a state park, many people still enjoy visiting the park, coming from near and far to see the Runestone and spend time with friends and family. We are thrilled to be celebrating the 55th anniversary of the opening of the park this year.
We want you to celebrate with us! If you have pictures or stories about what makes the park special for you and your family, we want to showcase them. Please send them to communityrelations@heavenerrunestonepark.com and we will share them here and on social media throughout the year.
*If you do not want your name, pictures or stories shared on social media, please make note of that in your email.*
Please join us at the Viking Festival this year, Oct 25-26, to celebrate!
