Book Signing Event at Heavener Runestone Park!
Join us on Saturday, October 5th from noon to 2pm for a special book signing event at Heavener Runestone Park!
Meet author Peggy Chambers and coloring book artist Spencer Pierce!
Peggy Chambers, author of the books "Glome's Valley" and "Return to Glome's Valley," both inspired by the park's rich history and mystique, and comic book script, "Stone of Thor", (illustrated by, Mike Kennedy).
Peggy calls Enid, Oklahoma home. She has been writing for several years and is a multi-genre published author, always working on another. She attended Phillips University, the University of Central Oklahoma and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Enid Writers' Club and Oklahoma Writers' Federation, Inc. There is always another story weaving itself around in her brain trying to come out.
Spencer Pierce is the imaginative artist and creator behind the exclusive "Runestone Coloring Book". She's a talented, self-taught artist and the innovative entrepreneur behind 'The Feral Ginger' artistic venture. She currently attends Kiamichi Technology Center and has previously attended Full Sail University. Her mediums include working with spray paint, acrylic paint, colour pencils, and digital art. Spencer's hometown Talihina, Oklahoma is where she finds inspiration in the natural beauty surrounding her, she puts out what she wants to see in the world, which is people being unapologetically themselves. Her vibrant creations, including the Runestone Coloring Book, showcase her whimsical style. A former Heavener Runestone Park aide and occasional volunteer, Spencer's artwork reflects her love for the park's unique history.
